Climate Change Author to Speak

Sustainable Arlington presents Sudhir Chella Rajan
discussing his new book, The Suicidal Planet: How to Prevent Global Climate
Catastrophe.
In The Suicidal Planet, Rajan and his co-authors
describe why climate change is the single biggest problem that humans have had
to face, what role technology can play, how people and communities can make
changes, and what governments must do. The book takes us out of the
problem and into the solution, in innovative and provocative ways. It
promises to be a very interesting evening.
The talk is free and open to the public. The
author will have a few books available at a 25% discount.
In addition to the discussion, meet members of
Sustainable Arlington, part of Arlington's Vision 2020 Environment Task Group,
and learn about Arlington's Sustainable Action Plan and what we can do locally
to contribute to a global solution to climate change.
