Please join Middlebury College President Laurie Patton; Schumann Distinguished Scholar Bill McKibben; and Sandrine Dixson-Declève, co-president of the Club of Rome, for an evening focused on solutions to the climate crisis.
Fifty years ago, The Club of Rome and lead author Donella Meadows published a pivotal report: “The Limits to Growth.” It had a profound influence on the early global environmental debate. Donella Meadows enlightened that debate with her systems approach to understanding the dynamics and human dimensions of our environmental crisis before she passed away in 2000. Wednesday, September 28, the Middlebury community will gather to reflect on Donella Meadows’ legacy and, in light of a recently released 50th anniversary report, examine how we will adapt and find solutions to climate change.
